[Name or company name] Tamron Co., Ltd.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a zoom lens and an imaging device that are small and lightweight and have high optical performance.
- [Background Art]
[0002]
In recent years, imaging devices using solid-state imaging elements, such as digital still cameras and digital video cameras, have become widespread. Accordingly, the optical systems of these imaging devices have become more compact and more powerful, and compact imaging device systems have become increasingly widespread. Furthermore, there is a particularly strong demand for compactness as well as high performance of the optical system in telephoto zoom lenses with long focal lengths.
- [0003]
Patent Document 1 proposes a zoom lens with a zoom ratio of about 4, a focal length at the telephoto end of about 600 m when converted into a 35 mm format, and an F-number of about 6.3. This zoom lens achieves a telephoto lens, i.e., a longer focal length than conventional lenses, while also being compact.
- [0005]
Meanwhile, in the zoom lens disclosed in Patent Document 1, high optical performance is realized by forming the first lens group using a positive lens made of a glass material having anomalous dispersion. However, the zoom lens disclosed in Patent Document 1 is not sufficient in terms of miniaturization and weight reduction of the entire zoom lens unit. In a telephoto zoom lens, the diameter of the lenses forming the first lens group is large, and the positive lenses are thick. In addition, glass materials having anomalous dispersion are expensive and have a large specific gravity. Therefore, if a positive lens having anomalous dispersion is arranged in the first lens group, the cost increases and the lens becomes heavy. Furthermore, if the first lens group becomes heavy, the driving mechanism for moving the first lens group along the optical axis during magnification change also becomes large, and the entire zoom lens unit also becomes large and heavy.
- SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT EMBODIMENT
An object of the present invention is to provide a zoom lens and an image pickup apparatus which are small and lightweight and have high optical performance.
