Sony has always had great affordable APS-C cameras like the a6000 that have sold pretty well for a very long time, but up until now, their APS-C cameras haven’t had anything to win over Fujifilm and other APS-C photographers. On paper, the Sony a6700 isn’t very impressive, which will likely hurt sales, but Sony’s real-time AF system is pretty far ahead of the competition so maybe it will find a niche group of APS-C photographers that value AF performance over all else. I think Sony really needs to meet or beat the price point of the Fujifilm X-S20 if they want to tempt photographers because companies like Fujifilm offer a lot of bang for the buck.
