The Atomos Ninja V is all you need for now to capture every 4k format that current Sony cameras can record, but you will need an Atomos Ninja V+ for 8k content. The Atomos Ninja V+ is currently discounted $500 at B&H Photo and the Atomos Ninja V is only $649 at B&H Photo at this time. So for only $350 more, you can get a somewhat future-proof video recorder.
