Sony Group Co., Ltd. will release “Airpeak S1” as the first of Airpeak, which has been developed with the intention of contributing to the further development of drones and the creation of the highest value. The commercial drone Airpeak S1 is equipped with a full-size mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera α ™ (Alpha ™), which enables highly agile, dynamic and precise flight with its proprietary motor, propeller, control system, and sensing technology. Since we have achieved the world’s smallest class with possible models, we will fully support the creativity of video production creators. In addition to a transmitter that allows you to control the aircraft at will, obstacle detection and automatic flight by sensing, and safe flight by cloud management of the aircraft and flight information, we support high-quality aerial image production.

Stable flight by sensing

Accurately grasp your position and posture with a group of high-performance sensors

• Stereo cameras with a built-in Sony image sensor are placed in five directions (front, back, left, right, bottom), and are equipped with a Sony vision sensing processor that can process those camera information at high speed at the same time and an original algorithm. Airpeak S1 integrates these visibility information with sensor information such as IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), compass, pressure, infrared distance measurement, etc., estimates self-position and attitude with high accuracy, and recognizes the surrounding space in real time. .. This enables stable flight even under conditions where it is difficult to receive GNSS, such as indoors and under bridges.

With the α7S series and “FX3” installed, you can shoot high-definition images with reduced noise, with the α7R series installed, you can shoot high-definition images, and with the α9 series, you can shoot images with little distortion.

Integrated management in the cloud by the web application “Airpeak Base”

• Airpeak Base is a web application that allows you to manage equipment, create flight plans, and manage flight logs.
• In aircraft management, the equipment information used is automatically listed and managed based on the flight log. Since you can check the condition of the aircraft before going to the site, it contributes to trouble reduction.

Creation of missions for video production and mission flight / reproduction flight

• With Airpeak Base, you can create advanced flight plans and automatically fly the aircraft many times as if you had installed rails in the air.
• You can set the position (latitude, longitude, altitude) and speed of the aircraft along the timeline, and specify the orientation of the gimbal and the timing of video / still image shooting. You can also draw a smooth curve on the map.
• Reproduction flight is an automatic flight function that automatically reproduces the flight route, gimbal, and camera movements based on the flight logs that have flown in the past.
