The Ultimate 1-inch Sensor Camera

The Sony RX10 III is the current pinnacle of 1-inch sensor cameras on the market at this time and many will find that it makes an active lifestyle easier like dpreview did during a recent hike. When Sony introduced the 1-inch sensor in the original Sony RX100, I couldn’t help but give it a try since, up until that point, Micro Four Thirds was the only option for someone interested in getting DSLR quality out of a small camera body. Over the years Sony has managed miracles with their 1-inch sensor, and its undeniable ability to perform even forced the people behind Micro Four Thirds to produce similar 1-inch sensor based compact cameras to compete. But no 1-inch sensor has rivaled the launch of the original Sony RX100, until now. Sony’s 1-inch sensor performs incredibly well, even when compared to sensors twice its size and, if someone was forced to pick one camera, I would have no reservations recommending the original RX100 or new RX10 III to anyone. Both cameras provide a lot of bang for the buck, and the RX10 has a very high quality superzoom attached to it that makes it a great value for anyone looking for one camera to do everything.
