Sony Wins Multiple Awards From DPR In End of Year Roundup

Sony’s strength has always been hybrid ILC cameras and this year the long awaited Sony a7SIII was awarded best still/video camera of 2020 by DPR. Sony’s focus on reliability and cooling has allowed the Sony a7SIII to acheve 4k/60p along with 4k 120p at a 1.1x crop all in 4:2:2 10-bit color, which is impressive and gets even better with an external recorder and 12-bit.

Sony also won best prime lens and is the joint winner for best zoom lens with the Sony FE 20mm F1.8G and Sony 12-24mm F2.8 GM. Both of these lenses are ready for even the highest resolution of cameras like the Sony a7RIV and they are very snappy for autofocus.
