Sony a6400 Real-Time Tracking vs Canon 6D Mark II Dual Pixel Autofocus

Sony’s new real-time tracking is so sticky compared to other AF on the market at this time that even Canon’s dual pixel AF can’t come close to matching the a6400’s AF performance. It’s interesting that Sony keeps leapfrogging over the competition when it decides to focus on a feature and we can only hope that Sony puts a similar amount of work into a future menu system and ergonomics.

The Sony a6400 isn’t even their best AF camera, but we are still waiting for the Sony a9’s AF update which promises to be even more impressive. Mirrorless cameras have come a long way and we are starting to reach a point where DSLR will have to catch up to survive.
