Leave it to third parties like SmallRig to fix one the Sony a6400’s biggest design flaws for vloggers the hot shoe location. Now thanks to SmallRig there are two reasonably priced solutions to mount a microphone out of the way of the selfie screen.
Above you can see the SmallRig’s relocation plate that uses the neck strap mount for stability and below their a6400 cage that allows for complete customization. The relocation plate and cage are only available on SmallRig’s site at this time, but when they are relased they will be available on Amazon also.
