Sony: Solar Eclipse 2017

The 2017 Eclipse was the most photographed ever and for good reason. There are tons of great options for capturing an event like this today and Sony actually has a surprisingly good and affordable one the Sony RX10. I primarily shot the eclipse with my GFX, but I also have a few frames with my Sony a7mII and 70-300mm. The compact combo was a great grab and shoot option for quick grabs.

Originally I considered picking up a Sony RX10 III to shoot the eclipse inexpensively with a light weight tracking head, but I figured a lot of photographers would go for the inexpensive reach and I wanted to do something unique. I hope more Sony eclipse videos and photos continue to surface in the days and weeks to follow. There actually are a lot of ways to edit the photos. Some even attempted capturing the event with their Handycams.
