Sony a9: Technical Testing Roundup

The Sony a9 is being picked apart by some of the best technical reviews out there now and there aren’t a lot of huge complaints about the camera compared to the cameras it’s designed to compete with. The Last Word did a lot of great testing of the Fujifilm GFX so I am looking forward to a similar level of coverage of the Sony a9. Hopefully, some of the problems that photographers have experience can be fixed by firmware update, but the one major one which most likely will not be correct is overheating.

I just received my Sony a9 today and I honestly thought it would be a little bigger. I plan to do some extreme testing of its thermal limitations as soon as possible, so stay tuned. This kind of camera shouldn’t overheat while shooting photos, but I wouldn’t be shocked to see it overheat shooting 4k since Sony has a history.
