Sony Did Very Well With DPReview’s 2016 Awards

Sony did very well in DPReview’s year end awards.

  • I don’t agree, just like I don’t agree with their picks… Sony had a camera in product of the year and almost every category. DPReview doesn’t really cover lenses so I’m not sure why they had the award unless they are going off others data. As for high end camera of the year well Sony didn’t release a high end ILC the a99m2 maybe, but it’s not up there with the cameras in that class. The a6500 is listed in midrange and so is the a6300, which they picked instead.

    Camera of the year should have been the XT2 and I can see why they picked the G85 for midrange, but I think the a6500 is a better camera. The same can be said about the RX100 V vs LX10. The only way I’m recommending them over the Sony to people is if they value $ more than the performance difference.
